Vøid Jewelry respects your privacy. This policy explains which personal data I collect when you visit this website, place an order or ask for a custom piece, why I need it, how long I keep it and what your rights are. I only collect what I need to make and deliver your piece.
1. Who is responsible
Vøid Jewelry, the trade name of Yorick de Krom (sole proprietorship), Speltstraat 2, 3081 XE Rotterdam, the Netherlands. KvK 71309586.

2. What data I collect
- Orders: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number (optional), the products you order, your personalisation choices and your payment status. I never see or store your bank or card details — payments are handled by Mollie.
- Custom orders and requests: your name, email address, your description and the photos, sketches, links or videos you send me (for example photos of your pet or a photo to engrave).
- Memorial jewelry: the order details needed to match the ashes you send me to your order. Ashes are handled with care, used only for your piece, and any unused ashes are returned to you.
- Customer account: if you create one, your login details and order history.
- Contact: what you write to me through the contact form or by email.
- Newsletter: only if you sign up, your email address.
- Website visits: technical data such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit, in the server logs of my host and for security.
3. Why I use it (and on what legal basis)
- To make, deliver and support your order or custom piece — performance of the contract.
- To keep my bookkeeping and tax records — legal obligation.
- To answer your questions and keep the website secure — legitimate interest.
- To send the newsletter — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the link in every email.
I do not sell your data, I do not use it for profiling and I do not make automated decisions about you.
4. Your photos
Photos, sketches and videos you send for a custom piece are used only to design and make that piece. I will never publish photos of you, your family or your pet, or of the finished personalised piece, without asking your explicit permission first.
5. Who I share data with
Only with the companies I need to run the shop, and only the data they need:
- Strato (Germany) — hosting of this website and my email.
- Mollie (the Netherlands) — handling your payment.
- PostNL (the Netherlands), and if used Sendcloud — delivering your parcel (name, address, email or phone for track & trace).
- Optimole — delivering the images on this website quickly (processes your IP address, no personal profile).
- Mailchimp (USA) — only if you sign up for the newsletter. Transfers to the USA are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
- My accountant and the Dutch tax authorities — where the law requires it.
I have data processing agreements with these parties where required. Your data is otherwise stored within the European Union.
6. How long I keep it
- Orders and invoices: 7 years, because Dutch tax law requires it.
- Photos and files for a custom piece: deleted no later than 6 months after your piece is delivered, unless you ask me to keep them (for example for a future order).
- Requests that do not lead to an order: deleted after 1 year.
- Customer account: until you delete it or ask me to.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Server logs: kept briefly by my host for security.
7. Cookies
This website only uses functional cookies that are needed for it to work, such as remembering your shopping cart, your language and whether you are logged in. I do not use tracking or advertising cookies. If that ever changes, I will ask for your consent first.
8. Your rights
You have the right to see the personal data I have about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to limit or object to its use, to receive it in a usable format and to withdraw your consent. Email hello@void-jewelry.com and I will respond within one month. Data I am legally required to keep (such as invoices) cannot be deleted before the end of the retention period.
Not happy with how I handle your data? Please let me know first. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
9. Security
This website uses an encrypted connection (https), access to the shop system is protected and only I have access to your data. Payments run entirely through Mollie’s secure environment.
10. Changes
I may update this policy when the shop changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
