Vøid Jewelry

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 29 September 2026

1. Who we are

These terms apply to Vøid Jewelry, the trade name of Yorick de Krom, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 71309586. VAT identification number: NL001239348B68.

Address: Speltstraat 2, 3081 XE Rotterdam, the Netherlands (this is not a shop, studio or pick-up point).
Email: hello@void-jewelry.com · Phone: [phone number] · Website: void-jewelry.com

In these terms “we” and “us” mean Vøid Jewelry, and “you” means the customer.

2. Definitions

  • Consumer: a natural person who is not acting for purposes related to their trade, business, craft or profession.
  • Distance contract: a contract concluded through our webshop, by email or by other means without us and you being physically present together.
  • Custom product: a product made to your specifications or personalised for you, such as a piece based on your own idea, an engraved piece, memorial (ash) jewelry, or a 3D-printed model of your pet.
  • Withdrawal period: the period of 14 days in which a consumer can cancel a distance contract.

3. Applicability

These terms apply to every offer we make and every contract concluded through our webshop, by email or via social media. They are made available to you before the contract is concluded and can be saved or printed. If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.

For purchases made in person at a market stall, the statutory right of withdrawal (article 8) does not apply; the other provisions apply where relevant.

4. Our products and offers

  • All jewelry and objects are handmade or made in small batches. Small differences in colour, texture, shape and size compared to the photos are part of the handmade character and are not a defect.
  • We describe our products and materials as accurately as possible. Obvious mistakes or typing errors in an offer are not binding.
  • Offers are valid while stock lasts, unless stated otherwise.

5. The contract

  • For webshop orders, the contract is concluded when you complete your order and we confirm it by email.
  • For custom orders, we first send you a proposal with a description, a price and an estimated making time. The contract is concluded when you accept this proposal in writing (email is fine).
  • We may refuse an order or custom request, for example if it would infringe the rights of others or is offensive. If we refuse after payment, you receive a full refund.

6. Prices and payment

  • Prices are in euros and include VAT (btw). Shipping costs are shown before you place your order.
  • You pay when you order, using one of the payment methods offered at checkout. As a consumer you are never required to pay more than 50% in advance; if you prefer to pay 50% in advance and the rest before shipping, please contact us before ordering.
  • For custom orders we ask for a deposit of 50% when you accept the proposal. The remainder is due when the piece is finished, before it is shipped.
  • If you do not pay on time, we will first send you a reminder with a period of 14 days to pay before any further steps are taken.

7. Delivery

  • We ship with PostNL to the Netherlands and to the countries offered at checkout. We do not offer collection, and the studio is not open to visitors.
  • For deliveries outside the European Union, import duties, taxes and customs handling fees may be charged in the destination country. These are for the recipient, unless stated otherwise at checkout.
  • In-stock products are shipped within 3 working days. The expected making time for made-to-order and custom products is stated on the product page or in your proposal.
  • We deliver within 30 days of your order at the latest, unless we agreed on a longer term (for example for custom work). If delivery is delayed, we will let you know; you may then cancel the contract free of charge and receive a full refund.
  • The risk of loss or damage passes to you when the product is delivered to you or to someone you have designated (not the carrier).

8. Right of withdrawal (14 days)

  • As a consumer, you may cancel a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason. The period starts on the day after you, or someone you designated, received the product. If one order is delivered in several parts, it starts when you received the last part.
  • To cancel, send us a clear statement within the withdrawal period, for example by email or through the contact form. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but you do not have to.
  • Send the product back within 14 days after notifying us, complete and in its original packaging where possible. The costs of returning the product are for you.
  • During the withdrawal period, handle the product and its packaging with care and only as far as needed to judge its nature, characteristics and working — as you would in a shop. If you handle it beyond that, we may deduct the resulting loss in value from your refund.
  • We refund all payments received from you, including the standard delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving your notice, using the same payment method you used. We may wait with the refund until we have received the product back or you have shown that you sent it.

9. Exclusions from the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Custom products: products made to your specifications or clearly personalised for you, including pieces based on your own idea, engraved pieces, memorial (ash) jewelry and 3D-printed models of your pet.
  • Products bought in person at a market stall.

We will always point this out clearly before you place an order for such a product.

10. Custom and personalised products

  • You are responsible for the correctness of the text, dates, spelling and photos you supply. Where possible we send you a preview for approval; after your approval, errors in the supplied content are at your expense.
  • You confirm that you have the right to use the photos and designs you send us, and that they do not infringe the rights of others.
  • The quality of the result depends on the quality of your reference photos and videos. A handmade piece or 3D-printed model is an interpretation, not an exact copy.
  • Memorial ashes are handled with the greatest care and respect. Only a small amount is needed; you send it in a sealed bag or small container by registered mail (or hand it over at a market by appointment). Any ashes not used are returned to you together with the finished piece.
  • Once production of a custom product has started, the contract can no longer be cancelled free of charge; any deposit covers costs already made.

11. Conformity and warranty

  • Our products meet the contract, the descriptions and the reasonable expectations of normal use. You always keep your statutory rights if a product is not in conformity (legal guarantee).
  • Not covered: normal wear and tear, such as wear of silver plating over time, natural oxidation or patina of silver and copper, and wear of beading thread; damage caused by improper use, such as contact with water, perfume or chemicals, impact or pulling; and failure to follow the care instructions.
  • Please report a defect within two months of discovering it, preferably with photos. We will then repair or replace the product, or — if that is not reasonably possible — refund all or part of the price.

12. Complaints and disputes

We’re happy to help if something isn’t right. Send your complaint, with a clear description and photos if possible, to hello@void-jewelry.com. You will receive a response within 14 days. If we cannot solve it together, the dispute may be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.

13. Liability

Our liability is limited to the amount of the order concerned, except in the case of intent or gross negligence, and except where mandatory law provides otherwise. We are not liable for indirect damage.

14. Intellectual property

All designs, 3D models, photos and texts of Vøid Jewelry remain our intellectual property and may not be copied or used without permission. We keep the design rights of custom designs, unless agreed otherwise. We would love to show custom work in our portfolio and on social media, but we will always ask your permission first.

15. Privacy

We use your personal data only to handle your order or request. Read more in our Privacy Policy.

16. Applicable law

Dutch law applies to these terms and all contracts with us. As a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your country of residence.
